On Saturday, I had my brother and son with me out on Squam. We had a windy day and the trolling motor cut out on us, but we managed to pick up a few nice ones anyway. The boat is going into the shop for a couple of days to install a new trolling motor and upgrade the electronics. When I get it back, it will be an even stronger fishing machine.
I'd like to give a shout out to the Squam Lakes Association (SLA). My brother and son camped out on one of the SLA sites the night before and I picked them up in the morning. They had a beautiful site right near the lake. The SLA does a fantastic job of setting up and maintaining their sites. We've enjoyed the camping many times over the years.
