The New Hampshire Outdoor Learning Center (NHOLC) offers training in all aspects of outdoor skills - including wilderness navigation, first aid, and survival, along with hunting and fishing education. NHOLC is the premier school for those seeking to become licensed hunting and fishing guides in New Hampshire.
Classes are designed for all ages and experience levels to give you the best opportunity for success and enjoyment in the woods and on the waters of New England. Rick Swain is a retired Army combat veteran with a background in specialized military and emergency response roles. Rick's deep passion for wilderness preparedness has been cultivated over 30 years, as he remains dedicated to continuous learning and practical skill development. As the founder and owner of The SCROLL LLC, Rick shares his extensive expertise in critical readiness skills for the outdoors. He is a Registered Outdoor Guide in the state of Maine. Rick is one of the instructors at NHOLC (and other places) teaching wilderness first aid, survival, and navigation techniques. He also hosts an incredible Month Long Wilderness Canoe Expedition. SOLO is the oldest, most innovative, and one of the most respected wilderness medical schools in the United States. I had the pleasure of spending two weeks at their Conway, NH campus when I had my Wilderness First Responder training. Highly recommend.

NH Fish and Game Dept - Lets Go Fishing Program
The Let's Go Fishing Program teaches introductory fishing skills to anglers age eight and up. Learn everything you need to have a great time on the water! Classes are taught by trained volunteer instructors statewide, year-round. Click the link for more information.
